Let's work together to identify and address what's holding you back from the life you want and deserve.

Let's work together to identify and address what's holding you back from the life you want and deserve.

My name is Jen Voneida and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Colorado Springs, CO. I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Florida State University and earned a Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Mental Health and Trauma from the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado. While at DU, I also completed a specialized human-animal-environment interactions (HAEI) in social work program.
Knowing that something isn't working in life or relationships can be frustrating. Many people long for things to feel different, but aren't always sure where to begin. Questions like, "Why do I keep feeling this way?" or "Why does this keep happening?" are often part of that experience.
Therapy offers a space to slow down, become curious, and begin connecting the dots. Together, we explore how past experiences may have shaped beliefs, expectations, and ways of relating or responding in the present. As these connections become clearer, opportunities for healing and meaningful change can emerge.
For couples who want to engage in this work together, I offer IFS-informed couples therapy (Intimacy from the Inside Out, or IFIO). This approach helps partners discover new ways to communicate, deepen their connection, and break free from negative patterns in their relationship.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an evidenced based model of healing and the primary modality that I use in my practice. IFS is premised on the idea that we all have sub-personalities, or parts, and that life events or trauma can cause parts to take on extreme roles or beliefs. I help individuals navigate their own unique inner landscapes, heal parts that carry emotional wounds, and discover their innate inner wisdom and healing capacity.
My work is informed by Hakomi, a mindfulness-centered and somatic approach that emphasizes curiosity, present-moment awareness, and the connection between mind and body. Hakomi encourages slowing down and noticing what is happening in the present moment, creating opportunities to become more aware of thoughts, emotions, body sensations, and the patterns that shape our experiences.
I also offer Brainspotting, a brain-body technique which uses eye position to help access and process experiences that may be held more deeply in the nervous system. Brainspotting can integrate well with IFS by supporting deeper exploration and processing while remaining connected to parts work and inner experience.
My practice is currently full and I am unable to take on new clients; you can email me or use the Contact form here on my website if you'd like to be informed of openings.
IFS can be helpful for a wide range of symptoms and experiences. It provides a non-pathologizing, holistic framework that recognizes our innate capacity for healing and growth. More than a model of psychotherapy, IFS offers a different way of relating to ourselves and our inner experiences. It is well suited for those seeking deeper self-understanding, healing from past experiences, or navigating specific challenges individually or within their relationships.
I offer in person sessions for those in the Colorado Springs area as well as telehealth sessions for Colorado residents located throughout the state. Telehealth is a video session that takes place via a secure platform. All you need is a strong internet connection, a private space where you won't be disturbed, and a phone, tablet or computer to access your session.
15 minute initial phone consultations are free
55 minute individual sessions are $130
80 minute couples sessions are $180
Typically, sessions are weekly or every other week.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services including psychotherapy services.
Patients have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) for the total expected cost of any health care items or services upon request or when scheduling such items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
If you schedule a health care item or service at least 3 business days in advance, make sure your health care provider or facility gives you a GFE in writing within 1 business day after scheduling. If you schedule a health care item or service at least 10 business days in advance, make sure your health care provider or facility gives you a GFE in writing within 3 business days after scheduling. You can also ask any health care provider or facility for a GFE before you schedule an item or service. If you do, make sure the healthcare provider or facility gives you a GFE in writing within 3 business days after you ask.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more for any provider or facility than your GFE from that provider or facility, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your GFE and the bill.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises/consumers, email FederalPPDRQuestions@cms.hhs.gov, or call 1-800-985-3059.
