Let's work together to identify and address what's holding you back from the life you want and deserve.

My name is Jen Voneida and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Colorado Springs, CO. I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Florida State University and earned a Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Mental Health and Trauma from the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado. While at DU, I also completed a specialized human-animal-environment interactions (HAEI) in social work program.
l work with adolescent and adult clients using the principles of Internal Family Systems and am experienced in following areas: depression, anxiety, anger management, family conflict, relationship issues, domestic abuse, stress, self-esteem, and trauma.
Additionally, I offer IFS-informed couples therapy (Intimacy from the Inside Out, or IFIO) to help couples discover new ways to communicate, deepen their connection, and break free from negative patterns in their relationship.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an evidenced based model of healing and the primary modality that I use in my practice. IFS is premised on the idea that we all have sub-personalities, or parts, and that life events or trauma can cause parts to take on extreme roles or beliefs. I help individuals navigate their own unique inner landscapes, heal parts that carry emotional wounds, and discover their innate inner wisdom and healing capacity. I also incorporate aspects of other modalities such as Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) or Solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), depending on client needs. I utilize the principles of Intimacy From the Inside Out (IFIO) in my work with couples.
IFS can be helpful for a wide range of symptoms and experiences. Do you feel anxious, depressed, or overwhelmed? Maybe you experienced trauma that left you with negative symptoms that affect your ability to effectively cope with daily life. You might be a fellow therapist who is curious about the IFS process, or who wants to understand your own system more deeply so you can better help your clients. These are just a few examples of the many reasons an individual might engage in IFS therapy.
The concepts of IFS are also highly effective in couples counseling because they help partners understand their internal dynamics and how their individual experiences influence their relationship. Whether you're looking to address conflict, heal relational wounds, or deepen your emotional connection, IFS-informed couples therapy can offer meaningful support.
IFS provides a non-pathologizing holistic framework that unlocks our innate ability to heal and transform ourselves. More than just a model of psychotherapy, it is a profound paradigm shift that is well suited for those who want to gain a deeper understanding of themselves, address negative symptoms, or heal from past trauma - individually or within their relationship.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services including psychotherapy services.
Patients have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) for the total expected cost of any health care items or services upon request or when scheduling such items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
If you schedule a health care item or service at least 3 business days in advance, make sure your health care provider or facility gives you a GFE in writing within 1 business day after scheduling. If you schedule a health care item or service at least 10 business days in advance, make sure your health care provider or facility gives you a GFE in writing within 3 business days after scheduling. You can also ask any health care provider or facility for a GFE before you schedule an item or service. If you do, make sure the healthcare provider or facility gives you a GFE in writing within 3 business days after you ask.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more for any provider or facility than your GFE from that provider or facility, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your GFE and the bill.
